Sonnet

Entwined — your hand in mine — we stand as one
Forever locked into each other’s gaze.
Your eyes, to me, are like a million suns.
Your smile brings forth the many solar rays.

We watch the stars but love I’ve never seen
A single star that shines as bright as you.
To me, you're more than woman, you are Queen.
And me your servant, always pure and true.

And not a single thought enters my head
Of how it all will end or if it shall.
I’m not a man to dwell on fear and dread.
When thus my heart, exposed, is so enthralled.

If William Shakespeare were alive today
He’d see our love and write it into play.
