Perfection

To me, you are perfection
Like the sun setting over the ocean
Seen from the most secluded beach.

Like my favorite ice cream
Melting slowly
It makes it easy to eat.
You’re easy to enjoy.

The way I love you is uncommon
Like no feeling I've felt before.
But you, too, are uncommon.

You’re the rarest gem on the Earth
Cut delicately by a jeweler’s hand
To illuminate its perfection.

You are everything to me
Everything about you I love.
I shall sweep you into my arms
And never let you go.
I would never do you wrong.
For that would be the highest sin.

I’ve fallen for you in a way
I haven’t fallen in quite a time
But I’ve never met someone quite so wonderful
You’re the rarest bird.

To me, you are perfection

Queen Without A Crown

If you could see what I see
You wouldn’t e’er be down.
For what I see, so wild and free,
Is a queen without a crown.
And this is your kingdom —
Like it or not.
You must accept the role you were blessed with
Accept who you are —
You are raising the bar
And not someone to be messed with.
So pretty, so kind
If your heart would be mine
I’d keep it forever within me.
And break it? Why never
I never would sever
The bonds that are keeping you with me.

Mystery

In a world full of mysteries
You're the only one I see
Cuz in this world of majesty
I only think of thee
And while my heart is trembling
Like the hand that pens this verse
My eyes just can't stop wondering
Why some think love a curse
So, unmoved, unfaltering
I try and look elsewhere
And try to pin my eyes on something
Equally as fair
But the more I look around me
The more, my love, I see
That nothing in this world is
As beautiful as thee

I Wept

When I saw your face, I wept.
Such beauty, a secret, should never be kept.
My heart is yours if you desire.
For burning within me, my love is afire.
If ever you cross my path in this life
I'll hold you forever and make you my wife.

Cupid's Arrow

Out on the street, there’s an incredible vibe.
The day is so nice; you just can't describe.
The birds are all chirping and they’re everywhere.
The Earth is alive, and I'm without care.

If cash makes you happy then there are a lot
Of unhappy people — they’re the ‘ol have-nots.
But everyone knows that the rich are the few
And just as unhappy as the broke-as-fuck crew.

Wherever I look there’s a radiant glow
That surrounds all the people that I want to know.
The breeze, it is blowing in my long brown hair.
I get looks from the people that nearly are stares.

But now YOU are staring, and it strikes my heart.
Like a Tchaikovsky piece, you’re a work of damn art.
If I ask you nicely, could I take your hand?
Show you the secrets in this lovely land?

I’ll treat you like a royalty (clearly you are.)
We’ll swim endless rivers and then count the stars.
'Ol Cupid’s arrow has struck through my skin
I never want to be without you again.

One Night

Once upon a midnight’s moon
I danced with my dear about the gloom.
The stars did shine bright in the sky
While all my hopes and fears danced by.

My lover’s eyes bright as the globe
That lights our world — a pausing strobe.
A smile so tender and so dear
A tear escapes as I hold her near.

We try to treasure this night for it’s
The one we have. The one we get.
For when the sun rises in the morn.

She vanishes into the dawn.

Walk With Me

Walk with me awhile
Talk with me awhile
I like to see you smile
I like it all the while
To be with you is all I need
To feed the seed of all my greed
If only you were real

Then I could finally heal

Cheshire Cat Grin

Why do you look at me
With that Cheshire Cat grin?
Why are you in
Every dream of mine?
If I could erase you
If only from my dreams
If only you didn’t remind me
Of my own personal failures.
I was over you long ago.
But was I ever really?
I don’t know.
It’s hard to argue with dreams.

Early May

Sky, why doest thou cry?
Weep well into the night like a child who lost a pet?
Why doest thou insist on getting me wet
As the days get longer by and by?
But it’s good for my herbs, I must say.
Good for my garden when skies are gray.

Good for my mood in early May.

You and I

I used to think we were the same,
You and I,
But we couldn’t be any more different.
I am calm and collected.
You are wild and erratic.
I am cool and calculating.
You fly by the seat of your pants.
I am considerate and caring.
You are selfish and cruel.
At times you are kind ,
But when kindness is needed the most
You are not.
I want you to be more like me.
Or who I strive to be.
But I cannot remake you.
Or try and fix your ails.

So this is how it has to be.

Looking for Life

I feel like I'm looking For life In all the wrong places. Where are you supposed to look? I ask myself. Trying, striving to live. Failing miserably.
