If your situation
Requires hesitation
Then you’re doing it all wrong.
You’ve an obligation
To deface the station
You simply must be strong.
There are hidden races
In their hidden places
Suffering for your meals.
If you’ve got a minute
Then just step right in it
Resist, revolt, reveal.
Your Eyes are an Epic Poem
Your eyes are an epic poem
They tell the world about your grace.
The look upon your face.
Can melt hearts miles away.
Your arms are a warm embrace.
Safety, security, the absence of ill.
They represent how I feel
When I feel them surround me.
Your voice is a silken shroud.
So gentle, flowing like a stream
Sometimes I dream
That voice is soothing me to sleep.
Your love is a saving grace.
I was lost in the wilderness. Then I met you.
What to do
When you meet the perfect girl.

Falling in Love
Falling in love
So easy to do
You don’t even realize
You’re doing it too.
One minute sober
Then high as a kite —
Will you come over
To my place tonight?
We’ll dance in the street
And play until dawn.
With both of us there
Not a thing can go wrong!
Please come with me dear
Though I know we’ve just met
I’ll take you to places
You haven’t been yet.
So easy to do
You don’t even realize
You’re doing it too.
One minute sober
Then high as a kite —
Will you come over
To my place tonight?
We’ll dance in the street
And play until dawn.

A Country Divided
A country divided. By culture. By race.
By intelligence, ultimately.
The idiots are unafraid.
And eager to show the world
How little they understand about it.
These times are hard. And it’s going to get harder.
The economy tanked, which anyone with a slight grasp
Of Economics saw coming
With or without the virus.
And people are dying. More every day.
And it will keep increasing until we stop being stubborn
About shutting everything back down.
And putting the right measures in place so that we can reopen.
But we have no one with any real power who understands these are necessities.
God help us. But God isn’t real. Or he doesn’t care if good people die needlessly.
In either case, he’s not worthy of worship.

A Trip
There’s a ringing in my ear
Sound that only I can hear
Resounding like a kettle drum
Growing louder as I numb
Steady on my feet for now
Walls are closing in somehow
Breathing in and breathing out
Kicking in without a doubt
Suddenly I start to run
Escaping now the setting sun
Into seclusion. Into my room.
Set up for the night, assume.
Brain orgasms in my head.
Firing off in blues and reds.
Room is breathing I can feel
Beating heart of Earth is real.
Sound that only I can hear
Resounding like a kettle drum
Growing louder as I numb
Steady on my feet for now
Walls are closing in somehow
Breathing in and breathing out
Kicking in without a doubt
Suddenly I start to run
Escaping now the setting sun
Into seclusion. Into my room.

Beating heart of Earth is real.
